Process Automation Lead - Arachas Location
This role is responsible for assisting in driving the organisation's automation strategy, identifying high-impact manual processes, overseeing the design and deployment of automated workflows, and ensuring these solutions align with long-term business goals and KPIs.
This will include processes used with the Arachas businesses, as well as the testing process used within the Software Development team. The role will play a critical role in increasing productivity and efficiency within Arachas.

Role Accountabilities and Core Responsibilities
Identify, prioritise, and map out high-impact business processes for automation
Lead end-to-end implementation of scalable platforms
Develop and implement automated systems
Write and maintain scripts to enhance system functionality and performance
Integrate automation tools with existing software and hardware
Partner with operations, IT, and compliance teams to ensure automation solutions are secure, regulatory-compliant, and aligned with company strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce effective, efficient, and high-quality software solutions
Mentor and supervise junior automation engineers and define technical performance standards
Create annual plans and strategies to scale automation initiatives across departments
Pinpoint repetitive, rule-based, and error-prone operational processes for automation
Establish technical standards for quality, security, and performance across all automation solutions
Analyse existing business processes to assess suitability for automation and design optimised future-state workflows
Convert business and operational needs into technical architecture
Research emerging automation, machine learning, and AI technologies to enhance platform capabilities
Explore the use of AI within automation
Mentor a team of automation developers, engineers, and system integrators to build scalable workflows
Ensure seamless API integrations and data pipelines between internal systems, vendor platforms, and core databases
Lead design reviews, ensure adherence to coding best practices, and oversee testing before production releases
Automate the testing of projects created by the Software Development team.
Monitor live automated processes against expected metrics
Triage production failures, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve exceptions efficiently
Act as the primary technical point of contact, providing updates on project status, risks, and ROI to senior management and operational teams.
Create detailed, comprehensive documentation of the software system
Qualifications
5+ years in automation, digital transformation, or process engineering
Previous experience in the insurance or financial sector is an advantage
Experience in Salesforce, Power Automate, Openi and Relay
Vendor and contract management experience an advantage
Hands-on experience with modern automation software
Strong ability to handle full life-cycle projects from concept and system architecture through to execution and operational handover
Experience of .NET programming languages, such as C# and SQL.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript
Experience with automation frameworks and tools
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent analytical and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills
BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
Full driving licence with willingness to travel to various Arachas offices
