Team Leader – Commercial Lines, Broking (West)
Purpose of the role is to assist the Regional Manager with the smooth running of the West Region to include:
Working towards achievement of monthly/annual income targets across New/Existing Business
Oversight of placement strategy across the team.
To provide key management information to Regional Director/ Regional Manager
Geographical Location: Galway
Reports To: Regional Manager (West)
Key Internal Relationships:
Regional Directors, Regional Manager, Regional Business Managers, Account Directors and Account Executives
Key External Relationships:
Customers
Insurance companies
Credit Management
Role Accountabilities and Core Responsibilities
Team Management:
Responsible for guiding and leading the team toward the achievement of Income Budget and other upsell / cross sell targets set for the team.
Ensure agreed processes are followed, whilst looking for ways to improve efficiencies.
Manage team workload and performance to include the completion of One to Ones and Performance Reviews.
Follow up on implementation of the Performance Objectives of the team and identify training requirements for individual team members.
Management of Dayforce for team.
Maintain an excellent teamwork ethic.
Conduct regular team meetings.
Sales & Activity Management:
Monitor and reporting on monthly income reports on ongoing basis
Ensure that each month is completed in a timely manner and reports / updates submitted on time to division management.
Manage aged debt and premium collection.
Comply with all management audit requirements.
Undertake specific projects.
Provide Key Management Information
Responsible for Managing Client insurance requirements including inviting, securing and documenting renewal as well as mid-year alterations and claims handling in line with agreed protocols and procedures.
Provide support and guidance to Account Director (s) on clients.
The achievement of other upsell / cross sell targets.
Seek, quote and convert quotations for New Commercial Insurance Business.
Meet income retention, income acquisition and referral targets set.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build effective working relationships with all customers by establishing trust, anticipating needs, sharing information and meeting commitments.
Deal with any issues that customers may have with queries, quotes etc.
Ensuring the Customer Charter is being adhered to
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with designated Account Director(s) if applicable.
Working as part of a team environment to ensure all customer needs are met.
Working together to ensure the team is on track to meet monthly and yearly targets
Compliance:
Comply with all management audit requirements.
Work with the Regional Manager and Compliance teams in ensuring that quality of file records meets prescribed standards
Requirements:
Demonstrate the ability to manage, lead and develop a team.
Demonstrate strong technical & product knowledge.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and a strong client relationship background.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
Attention to detail.
Possess the ability to manage deadlines & prioritise workload.
A good degree of personal organisation and a structured approach to time and resource management .
Person Specification:
CIP qualified with Previous Open I experience.
Proficient in Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel.
Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
Willingness to learn & develop.
Strong work ethic.
